Second Issue

  1. My second-week comics were related to both Eternity and Spider-Man's hyphen! In Marvel "The End" all the usual Earth heroes and cosmic personalities like Eternity get tangled up in a big mess regarding the end of the universe. And in "Spider-Man's Tangled Web" two scrappy fellows named Typeface and Spellcheck have some disagreements over grammar, spelling, and punctuation, which leads to a wisecrack about Spider-Man's hyphen.

    1. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention a couple of things: Spider-Man defends the MTV spring breakers from disaster with lots of 90's-era aliased celebrity cameos. And since I casually mentioned to Travis at some point that one of the Marvel Universe Series 3 cards I am missing is Psylocke, I got 9 different collectible Psylocke cards to make up for it. :)

  2. For week two I got Hulk: Future Imperfect, and Spiderman: One Moment in Time. Which I have not had time to read yet, but they look good.

IS that the Jim Starlin authored "The End", that you got Danny? That is another of my favorites, Travis chose well for you so far.

  3. Week 2 I got Spider-Man Blue and Optic Nerve.
Optic Nerve is 32 very short stories, just snippets of time/life really, some of them very dark. Quick but cool read.
Spider-Man Blue is the story of Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy, told by Spider-Man remembering her after her death. I haven't really ever read super hero comics before, but I've seen most of the Marvel movies/shows so it was fun to read and get a better understanding of the full story that you can't get from the movies. There was a lot of humor in it and Spider-Man is a very quippy character, so I really liked it.
