For my week one, in "Shazam! The Monster Society of Evil" Jeff Smith tells his version of Billy Batson and Captain Marvel. The second book was "Chew" about a regular detective with a strange superpower - the ability to have psychic visions about anything he eats. It gets pretty morbid as you start to discover the ways that "Chu" puts his superpower to work to solve crimes.
Oh hey, I think I finally figured out how to make comments. For week one, I got "Silver Surfer: Requiem", which is basically about the death of the Silver Surfer, and the funeral proceedings that would follow. Very well done.

Week one I got "Moonshadow," which is a pretty epic tale of a boy named Moonshadow on his journey to awakening. The art is all watercolor drawings, and the comic draws a lot on poetry and classic literature. I really enjoyed it, but it is a bit of a beast to get through so I'm just now starting to look at my week 2 comics.
